Infrared Certifications Preparation Course

Level I Thermography training is a 32 hour online course prepares you for the qualitative Infrared Thermography certification in P/PM, Condition Assessment, Condition Monitoring, Quality Assurance, Forensic Investigations, and Building Sciences applications. This course covers infrared theory, heat transfer concepts, IR equipment operation and selection, standards compliance, image analysis and report generation.

Students are trained to identify and document IR thermal patterns caused by improper design, workmanship or material failure. Specific infrared applications include: electrical distribution systems, mechanical systems, steam systems, refractory systems, underground piping, active thermography, building envelopes and flat roofs.

The level 1 thermography training activities are provided to help student gain practical experience, but student does not need not have an IR camera to successfully complete the this course.

Course completion qualifies student to take the Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer exam. Infrared certification exams are available at no charge at the end of regularly scheduled open enrollment classes, or at the annual IR-INFO Conference (Jan 2015). For an additional fee, infrared certification exams may be taken via secure video link or at authorized IR testing centers.

Accreditations:
This course is eligible for 32 NETA Continuing Technical Development Credits (CTDs). NETA Certified Technicians (Level III and Level IV) are required to earn a minimum of 48 CTDs every three years to maintain their certification.
Course is approved by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors for 32 hours of continuing education and meets the training requirements for their Infrared Certified professional designation and logo.
Course is also approved for 32 Continuing Education Hours (CEH) by RCI, Inc.

The Certified Infrared Thermographer's Association (CITA) is currently offering free Affiliate membership to all graduates of this Certified Infrared Thermographer® training program. Also, this is the only online infrared thermography training course that meet the ASNT SNT-TC-1A recommendations for a 32 hour curriculum. No other company offers this type of course through distance learning.
