Level 2 Certified Thermographer Training
Level II thermal imaging certification preparation.
Level 2 Infrared training online is a 32-hour quantitative online course in advanced temperature measuring to prepare the Thermographer for level 2 thermal imaging certification in P/PM, Condition Monitoring, Quality Assurance, and Forensic Investigations. This course covers advanced infrared theory, equipment calibration, error sources, cross-verification with contact thermometers, advanced equipment operation, the use of windows and filters, assigning temperature limits and repair priorities, and quantitative report generation.
Thermographers will learn thermometry fundamentals, absolute temperature classifications for ANSI, IEEE, and NEMA standards for electrical systems, advanced infrared thermography training topics like Planck's blackbody curves, how IR sensors are calibrated, and much more.
The self-directed learning activities provide students practical experience and do not require an infrared camera to complete this course.
Certified Infrared Thermographer exam. Infrared certification exams are available at no charge at the annual IR-INFO Conference. For an additional fee ($350), students may take the infrared certification exams remotely via a secure video link or at authorized IR testing centers. Accreditations: This course is eligible for 32 NETA Continuing Technical Development Credits (CTDs). NETA Certified Technicians (Level III and Level IV) must earn a minimum of 48 CTDs every three years to maintain their certification. The International Association approves the course of Certified Home Inspectors for 32 hours of continuing education and meets the training requirements for their Infrared Certified professional designation and logo. Testimonials:
"The Level-II course helped me to appreciate that all my previous temperature measurements were flawed. It helps your confidence and credibility to be able to state without reservation that your temperature measurements are correct." Charlie Jones - General Motors
"One-of-a-kind training such as this is not available elsewhere. Years and years of work, research, and hands-on have put together a viable educational package worth every cent!" Ken Overstreet - Lockheed Martin
"The Distance Learning course was convenient and thorough. When I had a question, my instructor was happy to take the time to thoroughly answer my query. This is an excellent course." Sally - Brainerd Home Inspection Service
"I have obtained training online in the past and this course was presented more clearly than any other online training I have taken. Navigation made reviewing easy. I was extremely pleased with my distance learning experience." Ron Sangiancomo - Risk Management Solutions
"I’ve taken many courses in my 25+ years as an electrical supervisor. I can’t think of one that was presented as well or supplied material matching the quality of Distance Learning course. Excellent job!" Eric Stokka - Energy Doctors of Arizona, LLC
