This Maintenance Safety Training Programs (Cal OSHA) article is a safety maintenance checklist based on California OSHA standards, but can be applied anywhere. Included is the maintenance safety program PDF, so you can share at your safety meeting. As maintenance occupational safety is sometimes lacking.

Maintenance Safety Training Program

The class names are bold highlighted. Each department will have certain safety training classes required for each employee. Each department will coordinate their initial and annual training requirements with the Safety Department. The Safety Department will publish and distribute an annual training plan and schedule. Additions and/or modifications to the schedule may occur and will be promulgated as required. The class trainer will keep a record of attendees at each class for Safety Department and will forward copies to the employee’s department and Personnel Department.
