input-output module FAQ:

What is a discrete output interface module designed for?

A discrete output interface module is designed to provide control signals to external devices in a programmable logic controller (PLC) system. This type of I/O module is crucial for sending on/off or high/low signals to devices such as valves, relays, and indicator lights. The discrete input modules also receive the same type of on/off signal from limit switches, buttons, etc.

What is ladder buffering?

Ladder buffering is a process in PLC programming where the controller stores and executes the logic in a sequential and organized manner, similar to the rungs of a ladder. This method allows for efficient and structured control of industrial processes. This is why in some instances, the SEQ instruction (Sequential instruction) is redundant, as the whole system is already designed to control a sequence of events.
